Qualification Required For High School Teacher (Contract Teacher) In Odisha

Odisha School & Mass Education Department, appoints Secondary School Teacher that is High school Teacher in various Government School in contract basis. So these High School Teachers are now a days known as Contract Teacher in Odisha. The contract teacher will serve the school on contract basis for a period of 6 years, after that they will be promoted to the regular scale. During these contract period they will get only( Basic salary + Grade Pay) that is Rs 9300+4200= Rs 13,500/- per month. During the contract period they can not transfer their school, and also they will not get more than 11 CL (Casual Leave ). But the work load is same.

Qualification Required For High School Teacher (Contract Teacher) In Odisha :

If a candidates want to became a Secondary School Teacher (High school Teacher) in Odisha, then he/she should possess any of the below given qualification. Here we are providing you a details qualification basing on the subject wise teacher.

(a) Category -I TG (Science/Arts) / Hindi /Sanskrit /Urdu/Telugu :

TG Science(PCM/CBZ) :
Bachelor Degree in Science (with or  without 
honours) from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate 
(45% for SC/ST/PH/OBC/SEBC candidates) having at least two school subjects 
along with a degree in  Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) a course recognized by 
NCTE  from a recognized University / Institution.

TG Arts- :
Bachelor Degree in Arts/Commerce (with or  without honours) 
from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for 
SC/ST/PH/OBC/SEBC candidates) having at least two school subjects along 
with a degree in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) a course prescribed by NCTE 
from a recognized University /Institution.

Hindi Teacher :
 Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with 
Hindi as one of the elective subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% 
for SC/ST/PH/OBC/SEBC candidates) or with Rastrabhasa Ratna from 
Rastrabhasa Prachar Samiti, Wardha or with Sastri from Orissa Rastrabhasa 
Parisada, Puri or with Snataka (Acquired by June-2005, the date up to which the
temporary recognisation has been granted) from Hindi Sikshaya Samiti, Orissa, 
Cuttack or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution with at least 50% 
marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/OBC/SEBC candidates) and  Hindi 
Sikshyan Parangat from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra/B.H.Ed. a course prescribed by NCTE from a recognized University / Institution/B.Ed. in Hindi (a course prescribed by NCTE) from Dakhin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras.

OR
Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi as one of the optional / Hons. subject with minimum 50% of marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/OBC/SEBC candidates) from a recognized University/ Institution and M.A. in Hindi with minimum 50% marks from a recognized University.

Classical (Sanskrit) :
Bachelors Degree with Sanskrit as one of the optional/Hons subject from a recognised University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/OBC/SEBC candidates) with Sikshaya Sastri (Sanskrit) a course prescribed by NCTE from a recognised University/ Institution or Sastri (Sanskrit) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/OBC/SEBC candidates) and Sikshaya Sastri (Sanskrit)  a course prescribed by NCTE from a recognised University/ Institution.
Acharya (Except Jyotishacharya and Ayurvedacharya) or Sahityacharya with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University.

Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as one of the optional / Hons subject with minimum 50% of marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/OBC/SEBC candidates) from a recognized University and M.A. in Sanskrit with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University.

Classical (Urdu) :
Fazil (Urdu) or M.A. (Persian) or B.A. (Persian) with B.Ed. or Alim with B.Ed. from a recognized University/ Institution.

Classical (Telugu) :
Bachelor Degree in Arts having Telugu as a subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/OBC/SEBC candidates) along with a degree in Bachelor of Education / Telugu B. Ed. a
course recognized by NCTE from a University /Institutions recognized by NCTE.

(b) Category -II (PET)

i.  +2 or its equivalent examination with  minimum 50% marks in aggregate and CPED from recognized Board /University. Degree/Postgraduate Degree in Physical Education i.e. B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed. from a recognized University/ Institution.
ii. Persons declared eligible by the State Govt. from time to time.
