Odisha GNM 2021 Online Application Form & Admission Registration 


Directorate of Nursing invites online application for the Admission into 3 year General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM ) Courses in Odisha During the session 2015-16 in the Government and Private Nursing Training Institute recognized by National Nursing Council (NIC).  Interested Male and Female candidates should apply online from dt: 10.09.2021 to dt: 26.09.2021 by 11.45 PM . The detail admission procedure and eligibility criteria for  Odisha GNM Nursing 2021 Admission is provided below.

Odisha GNM Admission 2021 :


Course : General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM ) Courses

Educational Qualification required for GNM Admission :

 i. Candidate must be completed 17 years of age as on dt: 31.12.2020.
ii. The candidates must have passed 10+2 with 40% marks from CHSE Odisha or equivalent thereof, However science is preferable. Or 10 +2/ 12th with 40% marks from state open schools recognized by state Govt. and National Institute of Open School recognized by Central Govt. Or 10+2 vocational ANM course with 40% marks from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council. Or 10 +2 Health Science vocational stream from a recognized CBSE Board/ State/ Center. Or Registered ANM with 10+2 pass. 
iii. 5% of total mark is relaxed for SC/ ST candidates. 
iv. ASHA having 10+2 pass with 40% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates) is eligible for applying to the GNM course. 
v. The candidate Must have passed minimum M.E. standard Odia ( applicable candidates taking admission in central counseling only) 
vi. The candidate Must be a domicile / permanent resident / native of Odisha but currently residing outside Odisha. ( applicable to candidates taking admission in central counseling only) 
vii. Both female / male candidates can apply (only 10% reservation for male candidates out of totalseats). 
viii. Shall be medically fit for the course (Medical certificate format in annexure -V

Other Eligibility Required :
  1. Candidates must have passed Odia upto M.E. Standard for seeking admission in INC recognized Government School Of Nursing and against 85% Govt. quaota seats of Private Schools. No Odia required for other 15% seats in Private School.
  2. Candidate must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
  3. There is 10% seats reserved for Male Candidates.
Age Limit : 

The age of the candidates should be atleast 17 years as on 31-12-2021. There is no age bar for ANM/LHV candidates.


Application Fee :

Application fee Rs 500/-. fee is to be paid by the SBI Challan attached to the prospectus. You can download the prospectus from the below given link.

2. Then pay the fee in the SBI Bank, you will get the Challan number and Date.

Here ypu have to upload your scanned photo and signature. 
  • Photo size should be between 20kb to 50kb
  • Signature 10kb to 20kb.

After filling all these details, verify the data then click on the SUBMIT Button to complete the registration process.
