Minority Welfare Department has published the Merit cum means based scholarship for 2021 for the students those are perusing Technical, Management education from Minority communities. Minority students can apply online by the new scholarship website  http://scholarships.gov.in/ upto  30th September 2021 . Register your online application then forward the online application to your college via online mode. Then take the print out of the application, attach all the required documents. Then submit the print out from, from the college for verification. Remember, only Technical and Management courses mentioned below comes under this scholarship scheme...

Eligibility For Merit Cum Means Scholarship 2021

  1. Students should belong to minority community.
  2. Students must have qualified a Competitive Exam for taking admission in the course.
  3. If the students has admitted with out competitive exam then he/she should have more than 50% marks at higher secondary/graduation level.
  4. The annual family income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian of the beneficiary should be less than Rs.2.50 lakh per annum from all sources.
  5. Aadhaar Number is also required for payment of scholarship.

Documents Required :

You are required to attach the photo copies of following documents with your application form and also have to upload the documents on the web portal
  1. Certificate of your last Examination Passed that is (+2 Certificate, or Graduation Certificate)
  2. Mark Sheets of Last Examination Passed.
  3. Rank Card of the last competitive Examination passed
  4. Income Declaration Certificate in Judicial Stamp Paper.
  5. Permanent Resident Certificate from Tahasildar.
  6. Minority Community Declaration Affidavit from Notary.
  7. Payment Slip of Admission
  8. Front page of your Bank Pass Book

How To Apply:

From this year 2017, Government has made a single website for all the Minority Community Scholarship. Candidates have to register first. Here is the details process to apply online.


  • 1. The scheme is implemented through National Scholarship Portal (NSP). 
  • It is mandatory for all students to apply online on the website of this Ministry i.e. www.scholarships.gov.in.    
  • 2. The list of documents to be scanned & uploaded for both Fresh and 
  • Renewal Scholarships as under: 
  • a)  Student Photo. (Mandatory) 
  • b)  Institution Verification Form. (Mandatory) 
  • c)  Self declaration of Income Certificate by the student. (Mandatory) 
  • d)  Self declaration of community by the student. (Mandatory) 
  • e)  In case of Fresh: Self Attested Certificate of ‘Previous Academic Mark sheet’ as filled in Form. (Mandatory) 
  • f)  In case of Renewal: Self-Attested Certificate of Previous Year Marksheet as filled in the Form. (Mandatory) 
  • g)  Fee Receipt of current course year. (Mandatory) 
  • h)  Proof of Bank Account in the name of student.  (Mandatory) 
  • i)  Aadhaar Card (optional) 
  • j)  Residential Certificate. (Mandatory)  


Merit Cum Means Scholarship Amount :

Most of the students asked that how much money or amount they will get in Merit Cum Means Scholarship ? So the below table shows the fees amount which you will get. Generally this amount is Rs 25,000/- for day scholar and Rs 30,000/- for Hosteler.
