OTET 2018 Online Application Form Paper (1 & 2) - OTET 2018 Online Registration


Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha may publish the  online Application form for the OTET 2018 . OTET 2018 online registration may starts from 23/08/2018 8 AM  and  the last date of online apply is 06/09/2018 11:45 pm. Candidates should apply online by the website www.bseodisha.ac.in . A candidate can appear the exam either for Paper-I or Paper-II. A candidate can not  apply for both Paper I and Paper-II. OTET application fee Rs 500/ for General candidates and Rs 300 for SC/ST candidates. Fee is to be paid by online mode in the form of SBI Collect. Last date of payment of fee may be 06/09/2018 11:45 PM. From 2014, Odisha Government has made OTET Certificate Mandatory for the recruitment of teacher in Government Schools. OTET 2018 Online Apply Process :

Here we are going to describe the step by step procedure to apply online for OTET 2018. The online application is to be filled by SBI Collect portal.

STEP 1 :
Click here to go to the OTET website that is CLICK HERE Now click on the On the Registration button. You will see a page as shown below.






STEP 2 :
Now you will find and registration form. On that form enter Your Name, Email ID, Mobile Number and Password which you want to keep for your account. Then click on the Register button., Your data will be register, and you will get a CODE in your Email Id and Mobile via SMS.

STEP 3 :
Again click on the candidate login button as shown in the first image and enter your Email Id and Password. Now enter the code which you have received in the email to proceed for nest step. After putting the CODE, click on verify. Now you will be directed to SBI Collect website to pay the application fee. You will see a page as shown below.


STEP 4 :

Click on the Check Box. and then click on the PROCEED button. Then you will see a page as shown below. Here you have to choose Odisha in the first box and Educational Institutions in the second box. Then click on the GO button. You will see a page as shown in step 5



STEP 5 :
Now choose Board of Secondary Education Orissa Cuttack in the box, then click on submit button. You will find a page as shown in Step-6


STEP 6 :


In the payment category box, choose OTET 1st 2018. Then pay the application fee Rs 400/- via Internet  Banking or Debit card. After making the payment you will receive a payment confirmation sms with a DU Reference number. After paying the fee wait for 12 hour.

STEP 7 : 
Again Go to OTET website, and Login to your account with Email Id and Password. Now you can see the OTET Online application form. This form has 5 sections like

(a)  Personal Information
(b)  Eligibility Criteria
(c)  Educational Qualification
(d)  Address &
(e)  Declaration

You have to fill all these section carefully. Then submit the application form and print the confirmation page for future use.

Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 :


Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) is conducted for two papers that is  Paper I and Paper II. A candidate can apply only for a single paper that is Paper I or Paper II. 

Paper- I : If a candidates want to became a teacher in Primary School (Class I to V) then he has to qualify the Paper-1 exam.

Paper- II : If a candidates want to  became a teacher in Upper Primary School (Class V to VIII) then he has to qualify the Paper-2 exam. If a candidates want to be a teacher in Class I to VII, he should appear both the exam.

Eligibility & Qualification For OTET Exam :

The eligibility of the candidates for the paper-1 and paper-2 exam is mentioned below

Qualification Required For PAPER-I Exam : 

If a candidates possesses  any of the below given qualification can apply for OTET Paper-I Exam
  • Higher Secondary (+2 or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks with 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed or CT)
  • OR 
  • 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education) approved by RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India)
  • OR 
  • Graduation with 2 years  Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • OR 
  • 2 years Diploma in Special Education approved by RCI.  
Qualification Required For PAPER-II Exam :

If a candidates possesses  any of the below given qualification can apply for OTET Paper-II Exam
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks with  1 year Bachelor Degree in Education (B.Ed.)/ 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education) approved by RCI 
  • OR 
  • Higher Secondary (+2 or  equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4  years B.A. Ed./  B.Sc. Ed.  (integrated course).  
Relaxation of Mark For Reserved Category :
  1. Relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks in +2 or at the graduation level is allowed for SC/ST/OBC/ SEBC category.  
  2. Candidates  who are pursuing (Final Year) of any of  the teacher education courses (recognized by NCTE or by the RCI as the case may be) specified above, in both the categories; can also appear at  OTET 2016.
  3. Untrained candidates, ONLY  belonging to SC, ST & PH category having required percentage of marks (5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks in +2 or Graduation Level as the case may be, for the candidates belonging to SC, ST categories) are eligible to apply.  

Documents Required Registration: 

At the time of online registration, the candidates should bring scan copy of following documents.
  • Scan copy of Date of Birth (SSLC/ Matriculation Marks List as applicable).  
  • Scan copy of Caste/ Community Certificate (Applicable for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC)  
  • Scan copy of Disability Certificate, if applicable.  
  • Scan copy of +2 Certificate for Untrained Candidate (SC/ST/PH) 
  • Scan copy of “Continuing certificate” for candidate appearing Qualifying Exam.-2015. 

Application Fee :

OTET Application fee is Rs 500/- for General candidates and Rs 300 for Sc/ST candidates Fee is to be paid by the SBI Collect website. Go to the SBI Collect portal, and follow the step as mentioned above, then pay the required amount of fee. The you will see an application form. Fill the form and submit it.

How To Apply :

To Apply for OTET 2018 exam, you have to follow the steps mentioned above. Remember that no candidates is allowed to appear the exam for both Paper-1 and Paper-2. A candidate can apply only for a single paper.



OTET (Paper I & II ) Syllabus & Exam Pattern :


OTET Paper I 
Candidates have to appear the exam for 5 papers . The 5 compulsory papers are  
  1. Child Development & Pedagogy 
  2. Language-I, Odia/ Urdu/ Hindi/ Telugu/ Bengali 
  3. Language-II (English) 
  4. Mathematics 
  5. Environment Studies  
From each chapter 30 questions will be asked in the exam. Except Child Development & Pedagogy, in all other paper 20 questions will come from the subject matter and 10 questions related to pedagogy.

OTET Paper 2 
Candidates have to appear THREE are compulsory and they can choose ONE one optional papers from two optional papers.
  1. Child Development & Pedagogy 
  2. Language-I, Odia/ Urdu/Hindi/ Telugu/ Bengali 
  3. Language-II (English)
  4. Optional A - Mathematics & Science
  5. Optional B - Social studies

From each chapter 30 questions will be asked in the exam. Except Child Development & Pedagogy, in all other paper 20 questions will come from the subject matter and 10 questions related to pedagogy. Full mark is 150 Mark.

BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION (BSE), ODISHA No. 104/ Syllabus/ Date 19/03/2014 From the years 2014, BES, Odiha has taken a measure step that, the Board has decided to introduce grade system in place of divisions in the results of the Annual High School Certificate Exam (HSC) or 10th (Metric) .
