SAIL MT 2018 Recruitment for Management Trainees (Technical) Online Apply Process

SAIL invites online application for the post of Management Trainees (Technical) through GATE 2018 in the discipline of Mechanical, Metallurgy, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical and Mining. Candidates having below given qualification and eligibility can apply online from 1st February 2018 to 21st February 2018. Read below for more details.

Job Description:

Post Name : Management Trainees (Technical)

Vacancies : 382 Nos.



Qualification: Degree in Engineering (full time) with 65% marks (average ),in disciplines of Mechanical, Metallurgy, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical and Mining. The SC/ST/PWD and Departmental Candidates having Engineering Degree in the required disciplines with 55% marks (average) shall be eligible to apply.

Age Limit: Minimum age should be 18 years and maximum age should be 28 years as on 21/02/2018.

Other Eligibility: SAIL will be recruiting Management Trainees (Technical) in the following 6 engineering disciplines from GATE 2018. For Management Trainee (Technical) posts in SAIL, candidates having degree in related disciplines as per relevant GATE paper given below can apply against the respective discipline:
  • Mechanical Engineering- ME
  • Metallurgical Engineering- MT
  • Electrical Engineering- EE
  • Instrumentation Engineering -IN
  • Chemical Engineering- CH
  • Mining Engineering -MN

How To Apply:

Willing candidates can apply online from  01/02/2018 to  21/02/2018. 

SAIL MT 2018 Apply Process:

1.  Click on the on the below given link Choose any one discipline that you wish to apply
2.  Fill in all the details as desired in the application forms,  Upload    the  following in the 
application form : 
  1. Recent photo, 
  2.  Signature,  
  3. Left Thumb Impression and 
  4.  GATE 2018 admit card. 
3.  Click on Submit button, you will receive a verification link your registered 
email id and  registered Mobile Phone through  SMS.  Candidates need to click on the link 
mentioned in Email or SMS to verify his/her candidature. 

4.  After verifying the link in email and  SMS,  refresh the page  once and you will    be 
redirected to SB Collect page.  Click on the Make payment link and you will be redirected  to 
SB Collect Page  where candidates  are  required  to  select the category. Enter 
the  correct  unique SAIL  registration  number  as given by SAIL in your SMS/ Email sent to 
your  registered email id and Mobile number  in the online application form  and make the 
payment by using any of the different modes which are mentioned on SB Collect. 

5.  After making payment,  candidates are required  to come  back  to  www.sailcareers.com 
again and click on login button which is available on the right corner of page and enter your 
unique SAIL  Registration Number and Date of Birth  to login in the system. After login, 
candidates are required to enter the SBI Collect Reference Number and Transaction date in 
the system and click on submit button. 

6.  After entering the details, Candidate payment will be confirmed after reconciling with SBI 
Collect data within 24 hours. Candidates  are requested to check their status after 24 
hours.  Only after confirmation of payment, candidates can download the Provisional 
Registration Slip with SAIL Unique Registration number. 

7. Till the  time the  candidate doesn’t get the Provisional registration slip  with payment 
confirmation status, his/her candidature is incomplete.
